TotalEnergies in Suriname

TotalEnergies EP Suriname B.V.

TotalEnergies EP Suriname B.V. is the Exploration & Production affiliate of TotalEnergies, a global Integrated Energy Company.

Our presence in Suriname is driven by the ambition to become a recognized reference for safely and responsibly delivering value, contributing to society and to a sustainable future for the country. It is anchored in a long-term commitment to offshore development, grounded in strong partnerships and tangible local value creation.

TotalEnergies operates a diversified offshore portfolio in the country, including Block 58, where it leads the development of the GranMorgu project, and Block 64 in deep offshore, as well as Blocks 6 and 8 in shallow waters.

In October 2024, TotalEnergies announced the Final Investment Decision (FID) for the GranMorgu development located on offshore Block 58, marking Suriname’s first large-scale deep offshore oil development. Over the life of the GranMorgu project, it is expected to generate more than 6,000 direct, indirect and induced jobs and USD 1–1.5 billion in in-country spending, contributing to economic activity across multiple sectors.

This integrated approach — combining offshore development, environmental stewardship and social investment — reflects our commitment to global standards with local delivery, creating lasting value for Suriname.
