TotalEnergies Exploration & Production Suriname (TEPSR) is pleased to announce the opening of applications for the third cohort of its Student Scholarship Program, a social investment initiative designed to expand access to higher education and help build the next generation of Surinamese professionals. Applications are open until 12 August 2026.
Launched as part of TotalEnergies Suriname’s commitment to supporting sustainable development and investing in local talent, the Scholarship Program provides ambitious young Surinamese students with the opportunity to pursue a bachelor’s degree in Suriname while receiving comprehensive financial and personal support for 4 years. BPP Energy Solutions is responsible for implementation and student guidance.
The opening of Cohort 3 marks a significant milestone in the program’s growth and impact. Building on the success of the first two cohorts, TotalEnergies EP Suriname remains committed to investing in people, promoting educational advancement, and supporting the long-term social and economic development of Suriname.
Since its launch in 2024, the initiative has become an important pillar of TotalEnergies EP Suriname’s social investment efforts in Suriname. With 30 students selected annually, the program is creating opportunities for talented young people from all districts across Suriname, helping remove financial barriers to education while strengthening Suriname’s future workforce.
In addition to full financing of university or higher professional education studies, students benefit from mentorship, coaching, leadership development, communication training, study-skills support, housing support and career preparation programs designed to help them thrive both academically and professionally.
Eligible students who have completed secondary school and meet the program requirements, are encouraged to apply before the August 2026 deadline. The scholarship is open to Surinamese students pursuing a bachelor's degree at a recognized higher education institution in Suriname.
