Integration of local suppliers into the offshore value chain
It aims to create opportunities for Surinamese companies by integrating them into the offshore value chain. It is driven by targeted supplier development initiatives, transparent procurement processes, and long-term industrial partnerships, enabling local companies to progressively meet international oil and gas standards.
Oil & Gas Awareness Sessions - Local Supplier Development
The awareness sessions focus on strengthening the capabilities of Surinamese companies—particularly Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs)—to participate in the offshore value chain, aiming to improve supplier readiness and facilitate integration into offshore operations.
Through structured initiatives, local enterprises are supported in meeting industry requirements and progressively accessing project opportunities.
One of these initiatives is the participation of TotalEnergies as a partner in the Blue Wave Supplier Development Program, providing training to local suppliers in HSSE, Quality and finance, Company policies & cybersecurity and ESG and technical compliance.
Empowering Local Business through SME Certification Program
The program focuses on strengthening local companies’ readiness to participate in Suriname’s growing offshore sector, particularly in support of GranMorgu project.
It provides insights into local content development, certification pathways, and offshore supply chain opportunities. Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) can enhance their position in the value chain by meeting international standards, quality requirements, and HSE expectations, while developing capabilities in:
- Inspection
- Maintenance
- Procurement
- Waste management
- Offshore support services
